Owain Browne — Baritone
Owain Browne is a Classical Singer specialising in operatic repertoire. He studied at Cambridge University, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and the Royal Welsh College, and most recently at the Flanders Opera Studio in Ghent. He is experienced in a wide range of repertoire from new works to early music, operetta, lieder and mélodie, Welsh folk songs and especially English art song, and is equally at home on the operatic stage and the concert platform.
The performance of Owain Browne in the title role evoked a genuine emotional response and was deeply moving.
As well as working in opera, Owain has worked extensively as an oratorio soloist and chorister and has appeared as a soloist at Snape Maltings, St David’s Hall in Cardiff, and in 2010 made his debut at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall.
